Pelagie is a married woman, who is 32 years of age and mother to two children. She works as a seamstress in a neighborhood in the capital, where she carries out a wide variety of sewing. She has six apprentices, as well as one permanent member of staff.

Pelagie works to order, and also makes display items. Thanks to her know-how and experience in this field, she has built up a loyal customer base over time. The constant growth in customer numbers means that supply is lower than demand. Faced with this situation, Pelagie would like to take out a loan so that she can buy fabrics to increase her stock for dressmaking, a mannequin for display purposes, and a sewing machine. This will increase her sales and, consequently, her profit margin. Pelagie plans to save part of these profits for her children’s education, and will reinvest the rest in expanding her business.

Ceci augmentera son chiffre d'affaires et donc sa marge bénéficiaire. Elle économisera une partie de ce bénéfice pour la scolarisation de ses enfants à l'école et le reste sera réinvesti dans son activité pour l'agrandir.
