Hadjah is married with six children, all of whom are in school. She lives in Kampala, Uganda. For the past ten years, Hadjah has sold tomatoes, onions, groundnuts, sweet potatoes, and dried fish on a retail basis at the market. She works six days a week and her major business challenges are transportation and the perishability of her products. Hadjah lives in a rental house and her family has access to running water but not electricity. Her monthly expenses include rent, school fees, and medication.
Hadjah is requesting an 1,000,000 UGX loan from MCDT SACCO to buy more boxes of tomatoes, and sacks of onions, groundnuts, and sweet potatoes. Her goals and aspirations are to expand her business, buy land, and build a residential house for her family.
