Alice, aged 37, is married to Omar, and together they have three children -- two sons and one daughter. Alice has always been selling fruits and vegetables. Her husband is also a businessman, and together they strive to see that they cater for the household expenses.
She would like to see her children study and complete their higher education. Therefore, she applies for this loan to invest in her business and buy large quantities of fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, potatoes, onions, kale, etc, so as to get a higher income.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
