Joice is a 38-year-old married woman with four children living in Kasese, Uganda. For 16 years she has been running a retail shop. She started with 100,000 shillings and now has 2,200,000 shillings as working capital. Her hardships are seasonal weather changes, inadequate capital to purchase stock, price fluctuations and inflation.
