Okta's ideal is to be a professional technician on ships. He is now taking lectures at the Academy of Maritime Nusantara. Working on a ship has been his dream since childhood. He is studying with determination and focus because he wants to quickly finish his studies. However Okta is very concerned about the continuation of his studies because of limited family economic resources. His parents only work as farmers and their income is erratic – just enough for their daily needs. Okta's two younger siblings are in school so the burden of responsibility on his parents is very heavy.

Okta joined the student loan program from Kiva, so that his dreams of becoming a professional technician can be realized. He does not want to burden his parents and he is trying hard to help his parents and younger siblings. Okta is very grateful to Kiva lenders for the support so that he can continue his studies to completion.
