Being a ship’s officer is the goal of Roberth, a student of the Academy of Maritime Nusantara taking nautical course work.

Roberth is the second child of three brothers. His father had died in an accident. His mother did not have any special skills, so she does not work.

During his early studies Roberth was financed by his grandfather. Roberth is in a very hopeless economic condition as a member of an underprivileged family. His brother was not willing to study because the condition of the family economy.

Roberth wants to study, because he does not want to end his learning in high school. Roberth is very grateful to God, even though he lives without a father, but God touched the whole family's life.

Roberth is very grateful for the participation of Kiva, whose loans he hopes will be given, thus providing him impetus to be more diligent and work harder to learn.

This loan is part of a YSBS higher education program through affiliate YPPK designed to help high-achieving high school graduates afford higher education at a top maritime academy. Akademi Maritim Nusantara trains students in ship engineering, nautical science, and maritime economics, and helps them find jobs after graduation. By funding this zero-interest loan, you are supporting a student who couldn’t otherwise afford higher education. Students are expected to repay in monthly installments after they are employed.
