Gul is a 52-year-old hard working and independent woman who lives in Punjab, Pakistan. She has no children and is currently living with her husband in a rented house. Her husband is jobless and she is the only earning person in the family. She works in a dental clinic but she wants to start her own pharmacy.

Gul, as a member of a 7-person lending group, has requested a loan from Kiva partner BRAC Pakistan to open a new medical store and to purchase a variety of medicines for that store. She hopes and prays that her husband gets a job soon. She is very thankful to Kiva.
