A 37-year-old married man, Lon resides in a rural area of Moung Russey district located in Battambang province, Cambodia. He is blessed with one son who is employed as a paid worker.
In the family, Lon is a breadwinner who earns income through planting corn and sesame on three hectares of farmland. He has been involving in this business for ten years, earning approximately 26,000 KHR per day.
He received his first loan with VisionFund (Kiva's partner) one loan-cycle ago and completely paid back the loan. The past loan helped Lon to improve the living standard of his family. Now he is requesting a loan in the amount of 2,000,000 KHR to buy a mini-tractor to assist him in his planting business. Via this loan, he hopes to increase his plots of farmland in order to increase his yields as well as his profit.
