Yucela sells food and staples for use by her customers. She works all day from Monday to Sunday with the help of her husband who helps mainly in the afternoons. She learned this activity from some friends and has been earning income this way for nine years.

This hardworking woman applied for a loan in order to buy and invest in a variety of products for her customers, and thus getting back her investment, while helping her to reach her dream of having a house with which to live in with her family in better conditions.

Yucela es una mujer de 31 años está casada con Manuel de 34 y es albañil ellos tienen 2 hijos de 14 y 3 años. Esta humilde familia vive en Santo Domingo la ciudad capital de la Provincia de Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, un lugar que tiene un comercio muy activo ya que se ha convertido en un puerto terrestre de intercambio entre sierra y costa de Ecuador. Además la visita de turistas nacionales y extranjeros aporta al fortalecimiento de las actividades de los emprendedores que desde hace algunos años han establecido sus negocios alrededor de toda la ciudad. Esta ciudad que es la tercera más habitada de la región, también contribuye con actividades como la agricultura, ganadería, pesca y manufactura.
Yucela vende víveres y artículos de primea necesidad para consumo de sus clientes, trabaja todo el día de lunes a domingo con la ayuda de su esposo quien le presta su ayuda principalmente las tardes. Aprendió esta actividad de algunos amigos y ya lleva 9 años generando ingresos mediante este negocio. Esta mujer trabajadora solicitó un préstamo para poder comprar e invertir en una gran variedad de productos para sus clientes y de tal forma recuperar la inversión que a su vez también le ayudará para poder alcanzar su sueño de tener una casa en la cual pueda vivir con su familia en las mejores condiciones.
