Virginia Alejandrina
Virginia is a hard-working woman. She is 50 years old and lives with her husband in the city of Chincha. Together they have four children whom they love very much and for whom they have worked very hard to raise them as good people. Her house is located in the city of Chinca, a city that is known for having a warm and welcoming climate. It is also the cradle of Peruvian sports glory, and its population has a gift for preparing local cuisine, which come out delicious. When she has free time, Virginia likes to go out for a walk with her family and on some occasions, she loves to enjoy with them one of their favorite dishes – the delicious Rice with Duck. Due to their scarce resources, she was only able to study up to the third year of secondary school, but she would have liked to study to become a nurse.

Day to day, Virginia works in her business selling groceries. She works at it for about 10 hours a day and can serve up to 30 customers daily. She believes that her business is going well because she is very friendly and because of the variety of products she offers her clientele.

Virginia is grateful for the big help that Kiva lenders have provided her, since thanks to the help provided, she will be able to buy merchandise for her business such as rice, sugar, and canned food as well as products such as decorations, tablecloths and glasses. In this way, she will be able to have a greater variety of products and will be able to improve her income, which will allow her to continue fighting everyday to be able to achieve her biggest dream “to have a house of her own”.

Virginia es una mujer muy trabajadora, tiene 50 años de edad y vive al lado de su esposo en la ciudad de Chincha, juntos tiene 4 hijos, a quienes ama muchísimo y por quienes se ha esforzado mucho para convertirlos en personas de bien. Su vivienda se ubica en la ciudad de chincha, ciudad que se caracteriza por tener un clima calido y acogedor, asimismo es la cuna de grandes glorias del deporte peruano y sus pobladores tienen un don en la preparación de platillos típicos ya que les sale de manera deliciosa. Cuando dispone de un tiempo libre le gusta mucho salir a pasear con su familia y en algunas ocasiones le encanta disfrutar junto a ellos de uno de sus platillos favoritos el cual es el riquísimo “Arroz con Pato”. Debido a sus pocos recursos solo pudo estudiar hasta el tercer grado de educación secundario, pero le hubiera gustado estudiar para ser enfermera.

Día a día Virginia trabaja en su pequeño negocio de venta de abarrotes, ella le dedica alrededor de 10 horas al día y puede atender hasta 30 clientes diariamente; ella cree que le va bien en su negocio porque es muy mable y porque tiene productos muy variados para ofrecer a sus clientes.

Virginia esta agradecida con la gran ayuda que le han brindado los prestatarios Kiva ya que gracias a la ayuda que le han brindado ella podrá comprar mercadería para su negocio como arroz, azúcar, conservas, así como también productos de bazar como adornos, manteles, vasos, entre otros; de esta manera ella podrá tener más variedad de productos y podrá mejorar sus ingresos, lo que le permitirá seguir luchando cada día para poder hacer realidad su mas grande sueño:” Tener su casa propia”.
