Binh was born in 1958. Her family is a basic family. Her husband is a retired soldier. His pension is 3,000,000 VND per month. Her three children are married and have their own families.
Binh sells vegetables in the market and gets about 2,500,000 VND every month. She has done it for 40 years. She has participated in crediting program of SEDA since 2009. The last cycle, she borrowed 9,184,000 VND and repaid this loan on time. In this loan cycle, she wants to borrow 9,632,000 VND to buy vegetables to sell, then she would be able to upgrade her vegetable stall in the market and buy cattle breeds to be raised.
The Center of Small Enterprise Development Assistance (SEDA) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to create “a society without poverty.” Founded in 2004, SEDA provides microfinance services to low-income and disadvantaged people in rural areas of Hanoi and the northern provinces of Vietnam through its Binh Minh Micro-Finance Program.
