Nivado is a young person who started farming with his parents when he was a very young boy. He learned to grow carrots, onions and beans during his childhood. Nivardo lives in Taboada community, 10 kilometers from Mizque province in Cochabamba department. At 21 years of age, he has a beautiful son. Owing to poverty and the neglect of his parents, Nivardo started working as a farm laborer at a very early age. Owing to natural disaster (drought) Nivardo's small plot of onions did not ripen well. This disaster meant that he failed to earn what he was expecting. Owing to the distance and remoteness of his community, he came to live in the province, seeking a better standard of living for his whole family. In the place where he lives, they only harvest their crops once a year. They do not have irrigation and have to wait for the rainy season to grow their crops. Through his own effort and the loan that he is requesting, Nivado would like to work independently. In order to begin, he needs to buy organic fertilizer and seeds. In this way, he will improve his quality of life.
