Santusa Leonor
Leonor, 74, is married and has five adult children. She is a corn merchant. She sells it in seed form to local markets in her province to be consumed as is and also to make “jora” which is the main ingredient used to make “chicha de jora” [corn-based beverage]. Leonor has been doing this for many years and this has made it possible for her to raise her family and now provides her with the means to live.

On this occasion, Leonor is requesting the loan to buy corn and thus capitalize her business. She is therefore very grateful to Kiva for helping her to stay in business. She commits to make her installment payments punctually.

Leonor belongs to the “Patrón Salvador del Mundo” in San Salvador District, Calca Province in Cusco, Peru.

La socia es la señora Leonor, ella tiene 74 años de edad, casada con 5 hijos adultos, la socia se dedica al comercio de maíz, el cual distribuye en los mercados de su provincia como semilla, para consumo directo y producción de jora que es el principal insumo para la elaboracion de la chicha de jora, Leonor realiza este trabajo hace muchos años y esta le ha permitido sacar adelante a su familia y ahora le proporciona los medios económicos para vivir. Leonor en esta oportunidad está solicitando el préstamo para comprar maíz y capitalizar de esta manera su comercio, por ello la socia está muy agradecida con KIVA, por ayudarla a mantenerse en su actividad, la socia se compromete a cumplir con el pago de sus cuotas puntualmente. Leonor pertenece al banco comunal “Patrón Salvador del Mundo” del distrito de San Salvador de la provincia de Calca en Cusco – Perú.
