Elizabeth is married and has two children, both her children go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (brother and sister).
Elizabeth has a business of selling charcoal. She has applied for a loan of 2000000 Ugandan shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bags of charcoal to resell. She has been in this business for four years and sells to all categories of people on retail. She generates additional income through selling piped water and from rental houses.
Elizabeth works seven days out of every week and works from her home. Her major business challenges include transportation, seasonality and thieves. She is aspiring to build more rental rooms and also to become a wholesaler. She resides in her own house and her family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees, paying for utility bills and feeding the family.
