Besiki is from a small village of the Terjola district. He is a 36-year-old single man. His economic activity is a greenhouse where tomatoes, cucumbers and dills are grown. Besiki owns a vineyard as well and picks the grapes in the late summer. He does all relevant seasonal work to insure a good harvest. The harvested production is sold locally. Besiki works hard to make some savings and expand his agricultural business.
He requested a loan to purchase dill seeds, greenhouse cellophane and fertilizers. The loan will help him to provide financially for his needs. He confronts challenges such as pest infestations and diseases and changes in the weather, so that he can provide quality products for his customers. This will increase his income and Besiki will reinvest in his agricultural business to expand it and make it more profitable.
