Kiva facilitates loans to more than 4,000 borrowers
every week, but since 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans we rely on donations from supporters like you to continue this important work.
If every Kiva lender seeing this banner pitched in $25 for our Donation Drive, we'd hit our goal of $600,000 by Dec 31!
Thanks for your continuing partnership in making the world a fairer place.
Nino is from a small village of Lanchkhuti district. She is 53 years old, married, and lives with her 24-year-old son. Her son works as a security guard and gets a monthly salary.
The family runs an agricultural business. In particular, they own a nut garden and a plot of land, where maize is grown. The family does all relevant seasonal work to insure a good harvest. Nino is involved in a dairy farm. She has three calves and three milk cows whose milk is used for cheese products. Nino sells the cheese at the local market. The family has a grain mill and serves local farmers. The work is hard, but still doesn't provide enough income to make some savings and improve the living conditions of the family.
She requested a loan to repair a grain mill, which is damaged. Her mill will serve the local farmers by crushing grain. Nino will get a service fee and this will increase the income of the family. With the increased income she will improve their living conditions. Nino awaits your support.
