Ibrahim is a 32-year-old Lebanese man. Several years ago, he got divorced and started a new and independent lifestyle. He is the only one responsible for managing his own household expenses while operating his business.
Ibrahim has been the owner of a home products shop since 2005. He sells different types of plates, plastic items, cups and many other products. His shop is located in his town where many customers from his community visit him to buy their needed products at good prices. Ibrahim keeps on working very hard in order to maintain his financial status at a good level.
Today, Ibrahim is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to expand his product inventory. He says that the loan will help him boost his sales and thus his income by 15 percent. One of his greatest dreams is to get married for the second time and have children. This is why he needs to amplify his income in order to be able to save money for his new life.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
