Arouna
Arouna was born around 1977 in Bougoula. He lives with his wife, his four children, and his large traditional extended family in the rural town of Bougoula. Never having had the opportunity to attend school, Arouna became interested early on in income-generating activities, namely the purchase and resale of cattle.

This is Arouna's first loan, and with it he plans to purchase five cattle from the surrounding villages. He makes his retail sales on-site in Bougoula, and also does business at neighboring agriculture fairs. His clientele is composed mainly of butchers and farmers. Arouna hopes to earn a monthly income of 100,000 francs CFA that he will use to support his family, repay his loan and reinvest in his business.
