Lorelee lives in Clarin. She has been earning a living through providing transportation services for three years to support the needs of her child. She gets an income of 8,000 PHP a month for this business. For a 31-year old mother, there’s nothing more that can make her happy than to see her child successful in their studies. Without hesitation, Lorelee borrows 30,000 PHP from GDMPC microcredit to repair her transport vehicle used in her business. She joined GDMPC just this year. Her plan in the future is to hopefully improve her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
