The “Las Magníficas” (The Magnificent Ones) communal bank will start its first cycle in Pro Mujer as part of the Los Andes Focal Center. It has 8 members led by a governing board headed by the president, Ignacia. The members carry out a variety of businesses among which are: quinoa sales, locksmith shop, clothing sales, blanket fabric sales, microbus assistant, construction worker, shirt making and bookstore.

The loan they’ll take out will benefit small businesswomen. Ignacia is one of the members and she indicates that this is the first time she’s joined Pro Mujer having done so by invitation of a girlfriend who is a member of the institution. She currently has a business selling quinoa juice that she started helping a cousin and learned the recipe from her and later on opened her own business.

The loan she’ll take out now is to increase capital. She will buy quinoa from wholesalers and once she makes the juice will sell it in her stand. This way of working allows her to generate income to support her family since she’s married and has three children. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she likes the credit and the health services.

La A.C. “LAS MAGNÍFICAS” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Los Andes, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Ignacia es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos tenemos: venta de jugo de quinua, tienda de cerrajería, venta de ropa, venta de corte de mantas, ayudante de minibús, albañil, elaboración de polleras, librería.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Ignacia es una integrante, ella indica que es la primera vez que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de una amiga que es socias de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de jugo de quinua, mismo que emprendió ayudando a su prima de quien aprendió la receta, posteriormente ella instalo su propio negocio.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de quinua) que comprará de las comerciantes mayoristas y posteriormente a la preparación lo distribuirá en su espacio de comercialización. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar a su familia pues ella es casada y tienen tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el crédito y el área de salud.
