Roxana Marina
Roxana’s a very hardworking woman who learned how to earn her daily bread with the sweat from her brow while still a little girl because her parents were very humble and she had to learn to work to help them with household expenses. Because of this she only attended secondary school but would have loved to study to become a chef.

She is the mother of a daughter who is studying to become a dentist and she works very hard so that she can become a professional and above all be better than her. Her house is located in Parcona District in Ica, Peru. This district is noted for the kindness of its residents who are very tenacious people. This district also has a hot climate and many tourist attractions like the Stone Forest. When she has free time she enjoys going out with her daughter and sometimes to eat one of her favorite dishes the delicious “Arroz con Pollo.” [Chicken with Rice]

Roxana works day to day in her small food sales business in the morning and at night sells desserts. She works about 10 hours per day and can see up to 50 customers per day. She believes she does well in her business because she makes tasty dishes and above all because of the kindness and charisma she has for her customers.

Roxana thanks Kiva lenders for the support they’ve given her because with this great support she will be able to buy the materials like molds and surgical equipment, among others, needed by her daughter for her courses. In this way her daughter will have the necessary materials to continue with her studies and Roxana will continue striving to see her greatest dream become a reality: to see her daughter become a professional.
