Halima is a woman who very much wants to get ahead and has many business ideas she wants to implement. She is a single mother and lives with her six children who she wants to provide with a better quality of life.
Her activity is the sale of local brews made from coconut. She has a refrigerator where she stores her beverages at low temperature, which is how her customers like them in the typical hot weather in her zone. She started out over fifteen years ago buying small amounts with her own capital. She’s always worked alone and noting the good welcome she got decided to continue.
Halima plans to increase her stock in order to increase profits and start a wholesale shop of coconuts in the future.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
