María Elza
Every two weeks, the members of the Desarrollo Femenino community bank meet in the parish of Calderón, in the city of Portoviejo. This city is known for its delicious cuisine and its vegetation. Most of the local people work in farming and general commerce.

María has been in this business for more than 25 years and it has allowed her to make progress and gain a lot of customers who know just how delicious her dishes are. She works every day with the help of her son.

María will use this loan to buy rice, pig intestines and various supplies that she needs for preparing her food. She has been a member of her community bank from the beginning and she enjoys being a member because it has helped her a lot over the years. Her dreams are to make progress in her business and to enjoy good health.

En la parroquia Calderón de la ciudad de Portoviejo, cada quince días se reúnen las socias del Banco Comunal Desarrollo Femenino. Este lugar se lo conoce por su rica gastronomía y su vegetación, la mayoría de sus habitantes se dedican a la agricultura y comercio en general.

En este lugar vive la señora María, tiene 71 años de edad, es madre soltera de siete hijos los mismos que ya son mayores de edad, uno de ellos aun vive en su casa.

Ella es una mujer muy luchadora que para salir adelante sola se dedica a preparar y vender salchichas, tiene un restauran en su casa en el cual vende sus deliciosos alimentos como caldo de salchicha acompañando de un buen plátano asado y las salchichas asadas, estos platos son muy apetecidos por sus clientes. Ella lleva más de 25 años con este negocio el cual le ha permitido salir adelante y tener mucha clientela que saben lo delicioso que ella prepara estos alimentos. Trabaja todos los días con la ayuda de su hijo.

Este crédito lo va utilizar en comprar arroz, tripas de chancho y varios víveres necesarios para preparar los alimentos. Está en el Banco Comunal desde el inicio y le gusta porque en todo este tiempo le han ayudado mucho.
