Khin P. is 34 years old. She earns 1 US$ per day as a mostly subsistence farmer in Kampong Cham province. Her husband works a few hours away in the capital city of Phnom Penh as a hotel security officer. Pheng Vy earns 2 US$ per day. They only have one child together who is still very young and will not enter school for another couple years. Khin P. has been able to manage her farm well and wants to buy more land to grow more rice and thereby expand her income.
