Khy N. is 34 years old. She and her husband live with her elderly father and their two young children in Kampong Cham province. She is a farmer in their village, while her husband works as a motor-taxi driver in the surrounding villages. Together they earn 4 US$ per day. Plowing fields by herself without anyone to help is a burdensome task for Khy N. and she wants to invest in a small tractor which will help her do her job. She will also make money off of this investment by loaning it out to other locals. If she can save enough money over time, she wants to buy a second plot of farmland to grow yams.
