Marissa is married with two kids. She is 47 years old and lives in the Philippines. Marissa is a farmer, and she grows coconuts to earn a living. She has been doing this for 10 years, and every month she earns 4,500 Philippines pesos (PHP) from this work.
She has requested a loan of 7,000 PHP to purchase additional seeds, seedlings and young crops to raise. Marissa became a member of GDMPC just this year. In the future, Marissa hopes to improve/expand her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
