Irma is from the village of Disveli, Bolnisi district. She is 43 years old and lives with her husband and 20-year-old son. The family runs their agricultural business. In particular, they own a plot of land where haricot, maize and wheat are grown. Irma sells her agricultural production locally. The family sells hay as well. In addition, Irma has a small dairy farm with 8 milk cows and 7 calves. She milks the cows twice a day and produces cheese, which is sold in her village.
Besides these activities, Irma works as a teacher at the local school and gets a monthly salary. All family members work hard, but they still don’t have enough income to make some savings and improve their living conditions.
Irma is requesting a loan to purchase wheat seeds. She will sow more wheat, harvest and sell at a good price. This will increase the income of the family and that will hopefully improve the family's living conditions.
