Marie Thérèse Claudine
Marie Thérèse is a 39-year-old married woman and mother. She has worked selling fresh food (bananas and plantains, depending on the season) in a local market for ten years.

Plantain selling is a profitable business, but her low stock levels mean that she often runs out, and she can therefore not always easily satisfy her customers. This loan will allow Marie Thérèse to buy a large quantity of supplies, so that she can meet her customers’ requests and, therefore, increase her sales and income. She plans to reinvest part of her profit in her business so that she can become a plantain wholesaler. The rest will be used to provide for her family (food and education).
