Chea is 49 years old. She is married and resides with six children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been working at a garment factory for more than a year, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband is a rice farmer who earns about $2 daily. Three of her children are garment workers. They earn about $9 each per day. In order to improve her family’s livelihood, Chea is requesting a loan of $750 to purchase farmland to use for rice cultivation. This purchase will help her expand her rice farm and earn more income for her family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children get higher education. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her house to make it more comfortable for her family.
