Chea, aged 31, is married and lives with his three children in Battambang Province, Cambodia. He has been selling coconuts for more than five years, earning approximately US$8 per day. His wife is a construction worker who earns about US$4 each day.
In order to improve his family’s finances, Chea is requesting a loan of US$500 to raise capital in his business so he can purchase more coconuts to sell. This money will help him to expand his business and earn more income for his family. In the future, he would like to purchase a motorbike and a trailer for transporting the coconuts he sells. In addition, he hopes to build a fence around his house and to send his children to a good school.
