The other major industry in the region is the cultivation of sugar cane.

Amelia is 23 years old, and studied two years at a university. She is a single mother with a young son, and just over a year ago, she opened up an internet café in a small space in the front of her home. She comments that, “I thank God that business is going well, and since I am located just across the street from the school, many customers visit my café.”

Amelia offers several services to her customers, including computer access, document scanning and printing. She believes that things are going well because she is very attentive to customer needs and will even help customers learn how to use computers free of charge. She plans to use the support from this loan to repair and service some of her computers, as well as to purchase ink cartridges and reams of copy paper to restock the business. Amelia hopes that this investment will help to grow and strengthen her business, leading to an improved quality of life for her and a better future for her son. She also would like to begin selling USB flash drives at her business.

El Inicio es el nombre de un grupo integrado por 7 personas, trabajadoras, alegres y amables, ellos decidieron dar este nombre a su grupo porque es el primer crédito que van a recibir de VisionFund. Este grupo se encuentra en una comunidad llamada San Agustin, en la cual su gente se dedica a la recolección de las resinas de los arboles de hule y a al cultivo de caña de azúcar.

Amelia tiene la edad de 23 años, estudio dos años de universidad y es madre soltera de un pequeño, ella platica que hace un poco mas de un año abrió un cibercafé en un pequeño local que construyó frente a su casa, ella dijo "gracias a Dios me va bien en el negocio porque solo tengo una competencia y como estoy enfrente de la escuela mas vienen para mi negocio los clientes", ella ofrece el servicio de renta de computadoras, impresiones y escáner también dijo que piensa que la clave del éxito de su negocio se debe a la buena atención que brinda a sus clientes y en algunas ocaciones enseña a sus clientes a usar las computadoras sin cobrarles. Ella invertirá este crédito en dar matenimiento a computadoras y compar de cartuchos y hojas para impresiones. Amelia desea que con esta inversión su negocio continué creciendo ya que desea dar una mejor vida a su hijo y a futuro iniciar a invertir sus ganancias en la compra de memorias usb para vender.
