Julio
Julio has a son; he separated from his wife over a year ago. Julio lives with his son in his own house occupying a single room with adobe walls and dirt floor. The house is located in El Palomar in La Paz Department.

He currently works growing flowers more than ten hours daily since he must cover his family’s education, food and basic utility costs with what he earns. He needs the loan to buy various flower seeds to offer more variety to his customers and increase his income this way.

Julio’s dream is to build a couple of rooms at home to provide his son more comfort since he will soon start university. This is his second IMPRO loan request and first with KIVA.

Julio, tiene un hijo y se separo hace más de un año de su esposa; Julio vive con su hijo en casa propia ocupando una habitación con paredes de adobe y el piso de tierra, la casa se encuentra ubicada en el Palomar en el Departamento de La Paz.
Actualmente se dedica a la producción y cultivo de flores trabajando por más de diez horas al día ya que con lo que gana debe cubrir los gastos de educación, alimentación y pago de servicios básicos de su familia .
El crédito lo requiere para la compra de semillas de diferentes flores por cantidad ya que desea mejorar sus cultivos, ofrecer más variedad a sus clientes y aumentar sus ingresos.
El sueño de Julio es construir un par de habitaciones más en su casa para dar más comodidad a su hijo ya que entrara a la universidad.
Es la segunda vez que solicita crédito junto a IMPRO y la primera vez junto a KIVA.

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995.
