Martha Elizabeth
Martha is a 25 year old woman. She lives with her little one year old son in the city of Ica in the Parcona district. Sadly, for various reasons, she separated from her life partner. Now she is father and mother to her little one.

She is a tenacious, enthusiastic, and very perseverant woman. She devotes all of her efforts to working in order to get ahead. In her free time she likes to watch television with her little one. Sadly, for lack of financial resources, she was not able to study for the accounting degree that she so wanted to be able to do. Sometimes she makes the delicious ‘Tallarines Verdes’ [green pesto noodles] to share with her family.

Through her own initiative, and thanks to her sister’s support, Martha started up her own business of selling beauty products. She devotes approximately eight hours a day to her business. During that time she is able to tend to a good number of customers. Martha believes that her business is going well due to the good products that she sells and the kind and respectful manner in which she treats her customers.

Martha is very grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the help given to her, she will be able to buy a display case and merchandise like perfume and cosmetics, among others. This way Martha will have a business that is better stocked and better equipped. With this she hopes to be able to increase her sales and income. This way she hopes to gradually save the money needed to expand her business and assure her little son’s well-being and future.
