Felisters works hard to support her family. She is married and has a tailoring business in the town of Kisauni. She requested a KES 20,000 loan through Yehu to buy more clothing material and sewing thread. She has been in this business for 2 years. She says she obtained the skills after attending a tailoring and dressmaking college in her community.
In the future, Felisters would like to save enough money to expand her business and open a kiosk. She is working hard to support her family: her husband and her single child who is the source of joy to their marriage.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
