Vendeline is a 26-year-old young woman. She is engaged, and the mother of three children, two of whom attend school. She is a shopkeeper in a market in the capital where she has been selling fresh food according to the season and charcoal for the last 6 years. Thanks to her experience and more importantly the current prices she has been able to attract and retain customers as time goes on.

Her small amount of capital allows Vendeline to refresh her stock of merchandise in time because she is forced to clear her stock in order to be able to stock back up again without running out of stock. She is requesting a loan to be able to purchase wholesale charcoal and plantains. This will meet Vendeline's customers' needs, will improve her sales and therefore her profit margin. The profits generated by this loan will be partially reinvested in her business and the remainder will help Vendeline to take care of her family.
