Nouriétou, 34 years old, lives with her retired husband and their six children in Lome. Three of their children go to school. To lend a hand to her husband with the household expenses, since 2000 she has sold grains at the market and at home. She is a longtime client of the bank and is on her fifth loan with them. The sum that she is asking for will be used to buy grains. She would like to become a wholesaler and build a house for her children.
