Vanesa
Vanesa is single and has a small son. She lives in her mother’s house, where she occupies just one room, and the house is located in the Alto San Pedro area of the city of La Paz.

Vanesa currently works in a sweet stall in a school. She works for more than five hours each day in the evenings, and in the mornings studies graphic design in a school. She therefore has to cover her education and food expenses, as well as paying for basic services for her family.

Vanesa’s dream is to improve her income and become independent, which will give her son a more comfortable life and improve her own quality of life. This is the second time that she has requested a loan from IMPRO, and the first time with Kiva.

Vanesa es soltera y tiene un hijo pequeño, vive en la casa de su madre ocupando solo una habitación, la casa se encuentra ubicada en la zona Alto San Pedro de la ciudad de La Paz.
Actualmente trabaja atendiendo un puesto de dulces dentro de un colegio trabajando por más de cinco horas al día por las tardes y por la mañana estudio diseño grafico en un instituto, con lo que gana debe cubrir sus gastos de educación, alimentación y pago de servicios básicos de su familia.
El crédito lo requiere para la compra de una computadora portátil ya que le será de mucha ayuda en sus estudios.
El sueño de Vanesa es mejorar sus ingresos y poder independizarse para darle más comodidad a su hijo y mejorar su calidad de vida.
Es la segunda vez que solicita crédito junto a IMPRO y la primera vez con KIVA.

About IMPRO

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.

To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
