Chhaya is 43 years old and married with four children who are attending school. He is an independent entrepreneur in the construction industry. He has his own team for providing services whenever there are orders from his customers. He bids on the total contract for each construction project.
In order to keep developing his current business, he is asking for a loan of 2,000,000 KHR to purchase supplies and tools used in his construction projects. He hopes to make his business more profitable so he can provide his family with the basic necessities and provide a good education for his children.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
