Ailyn is from Maquilao, Tangub City. She is 37 years old. Ailyn is married and has three children. To make a living, she manages a fish vending business. She has been in her business for 10 years and earns 5,000 Philippines pesos (PHP) a month from these activities.
In 2008, Ailyn joined GDMPC. Ailyn is requesting a loan of 18,400 PHP, which will be used to purchase fishing equipment, including hooks and nets. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
