Ana, aged 47, is married with three children and lives in the Philippines. She is a farmer and manages coconut production to earn a living. Ana has been doing this for 15 years and every month she earns 6,000 PHP from this work.
Ana has requested a loan of 19,500 PHP to purchase seeds, seedlings and young crops to raise. She has been a member of GDMPC since 2009. In the future, Ana hopes to improve and expand her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
