Juan Manuel
Juan is a hardworking young man who is 21 years of age. He has plenty of drive to succeed. Juan lives with his mother, who serves as his right arm and has given him the motivation to move forward. His home is located in the city of Pisco, which is known for having a warm and pleasant climate. There are also beautiful beaches and tourist attractions such as “Las Islas Ballestas” and “Candelabro de Paracas”. Agriculture is developed in this area, particularly the cultivation of cotton, corn, and other crops. Whenever he has free time, Juan likes to play soccer with his friends and neighbors from the area. He also enjoys one of his favorite dishes, the flavorful “carapulcra con sopa seca” (a spicy Peruvian stew served with dried potatoes).


With great effort and determination, Juan works at his small business providing veterinary services. He already finished his studies in veterinary medicine and has been working for one year. In his business, he works approximately nine hours a day and can serve up to 15 clients per week. Juan believes he is doing well in his business because he is friendly with his clients and he enjoys what he does.


Juan is extremely grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to their support, he will be able to buy surgical supplies and medicines. This will enable him to provide better service to his clients and allow him to continue working. Juan continues to pursue his greatest dream of owning a house and finding a location for his veterinary clinic.

Juan es un joven de 21 años de edad, es muy trabajador y sobre todo con muchas ganas de salir adelante, vive al lado de su madre quien ha sido su brazo derecho y quien le ha dado muchos ánimos para salir adelante. Su vivienda se ubica en la ciudad de Pisco, ciudad que se caracteriza por tener un clima cálido y acogedor, posee playas hermosas y atractivos turísticos como “las Islas Ballestas” y el “Candelabro de Paracas”, asimismo se desarrolla la agricultura en especial el cultivo de algodón, maíz, entre otros. Cuando dispone de un tiempo libre le gusta mucho jugar futbol con sus amigos y vecinos de su barrio, asimismo le encanta disfrutar de uno de sus platillos favoritos el cual es la riquísima “Carapulcra con sopa seca”.

Con mucho empeño y esfuerzo Juan trabaja en su pequeño negocio de servicio veterinario, ya que el logro terminar sus estudios de medicina veterinaria y desde hace un año trabaja en ello, el le dedica a su negocio alrededor de 9 horas al día y puede atender hasta 15 clientes de manera semanal; el cree que le va bien en su negocio porque es amable con los clientes y porque le gusta lo que hace.

Juan agradece mucho a los prestatarios Kiva ya que gracias a su gran apoyo el podrá comprar materiales quirúrgicos y medicamentos, así de esta manera el podrá atender de mejor manera a sus clientes y poder seguir luchando y trabajando para poder hacer realidad su más grande sueño:” Tener su casa propia y un local para hacer una clínica veterinaria”.
