She was born in the town of Ollyantaytambo but now lives in the beautiful city of Cusco. Bertha is a hardworking and responsible young woman who enjoys looking at archeological remains. She has run a bookstall for a year and the business is doing well. She is now in need of a loan to buy merchandise such as books (in the photo she is the one with her hand raised).

The name of this group is Amigos Emprendedores and is made up of neighbours and friends. They live in the province and department of Cusco. The members seek every opportunity they can to get ahead and make an effort every day to provide their children with a better future. They are involved in a variety of jobs such as selling books wholesale, selling candy, and driving a taxi. The members are grateful for this opportunity and promise to repay the loan according to the schedule.

Cusco is located in the province and department of Cusco and is in the heart of the ancient city of the Incas. It is known for its tourism, its archeological centres, and for being a beautiful city in the southern region of the country. The city is also well known for the traditional festival of Inti Raymi and because one of the seven wonders of the world, Machupicchu, is found there.

La socia Bertha tiene 22 años y tiene una relación de unión libre pero esta embarazada y tiene seis meses de gestación, ella es natural de la ciudad de Ollantaytambo pero ahora vive en la ciudad hermosa del Cusco. La socia Bertha es una joven emprendedora y responsable que le gusta los restos pues tiene un puesto de venta de libros. Ya es un año que se dedica a este negocio y le va muy bien. En esta oportunidad Bertha requiere el préstamo para comprar mercadería como por ejemplo libros (La socia que Bertha está levantando la mano en la fotografía).

Este grupo está conformado por vecinos y amigos que formaron el banco comunal “Amigos Emprendedores” en la provincia de Cusco del departamento del Cusco. Este banco comunal está conformado por personas que buscan a cada momento las oportunidades para salir adelante y con su esfuerzo diario entregar un mejor futuro a sus hijos. Las actividades económicas de los socios son por ejemplo; venta de libros en su mayoría, venta de dulces y otros brindan servicio de taxi.

Los socios en general agradecen la oportunidad brindada y se comprometen a cumplir con el pago de sus diferentes cuotas en los plazos establecidos. (Las personas que a perecen en la parte inferior de la fotografía llegaron tarde a la reunión del banco comunal).

Cusco está ubicado en el distrito y provincia del Cusco del departamento del Cusco en pleno corazón de la antigua ciudad de los Incas y se caracteriza por ser una zona turística, por sus centros arqueológicos, por su centro histórico, por sus paisajes, por su historia y por ser una ciudad encantadora de la Región del Sur del país. Cusco es conocido también por su fiesta tradicional del Inti Raymi y porque se encuentra una de las siete maravillas del mundo “Machupicchu”.

About Asociación Arariwa
Asociación Arariwa is a large non-governmental organization that started offering microcredit in 1994 to improve the quality of life, skills and equity of the population in the rural Cusco region of Peru.
