Sorm is a resident of Baray district, Kompong Tom province. She is 51 years of age and married, with four children, all of whom are attending to school.
Rice farming is the focused business for Sorm. She has been farming rice on her inherited farmland for almost 30 years. She typically generates in the neighborhood of 80,000 KHR. To supplement her income, Sorm bought a few piglets to fatten at her backyard pigpen for the future sale.
In order to better her living standards, Sorm would like a loan of 500 USD to purchase a motorcycle, which her husband will use to provide transportation service in their village.
She hopes that Kiva lenders will help with the loan, so she can improve her living conditions.
