Touch is a resident from Kampong Cham province's Dambae district, Cambodia. She is a 55-year-old married mother with four children.
To earn a daily decent income, she plants rubber tree seedlings to resell. It is the business that she has been with for three years. She is able to earn about 28,000 KHR per day.
Touch took her first loan with VisionFund in 2011 and paid back the entire loan with success. The past loan has helped her to better support her household.
Now she is seeking a new loan in the amount of 1,500,000 KHR. She will use her loan to buy more rubber tree seedlings and to pay for the labor costs. She hopes to grow her seedlings healthily, so she can make more income.
About VisionFund Cambodia
VisionFund Cambodia is a Christian organization and microfinance institution that provides small loans and other financial services to improve the lives of children, empower poor women and their families, and grow successful businesses. The organization works primarily in rural parts of Cambodia and has distinguished itself by targeting the very poor who require smaller loan sizes, regardless of religious beliefs, gender or ethnic background.
Kiva lenders’ funds will help the organization to expand into the northeastern provinces of the country, which have historically been underserved and difficult to reach with financial services.
