Liliana is a young entrepreneur, 20 years of age, and with great effort she has been able to get her own business started. Some time ago a friend of hers explained the activity and with much tenacity Liliana decided to open her own nursery with which she has been generating income and contributing economically to her family in order to have better financial opportunities and a better quality of life in her home. In spite of starting her nursery with very limited capital, her efforts have allowed it to grow and allowed her to offer her clients a better variety of products. Looking to satisfy the requests of her customers, and since she does not have sufficient capital, Liliana is looking for a loan in order to purchase plants and fertilizers to stock her nursery.
Her greatest dream is to have a successful business and to offer her clients a larger variety of plants. In addition, she hopes that this will generate income that will give her family the opportunity to have a better quality of life and better economic opportunities in order to get ahead.

This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
