Leonora is married, 52 years of age and lives in Gabunon, Tambulig with her two kids. Leonora is operating a sari-sari (variety) store to earn a living. She has been in this business for more than five years and she earns 2,500 Philippines pesos (PHP) every month. She is requesting a loan of 3,000 PHP to purchase additional products like canned goods, noodles, sugar and coffee. She joined GDMPC this year. Leonora wishes that her business will be more progressive.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
