She does this work in her native village called Chivolo, which is located in the department of Magdalena, in the municipality of Puerto Colombia. This place is located on the shores of the Caribbean. This is where she is a hair stylist. Her future goal is to have her own beauty salon, where she also sells miscellaneous items, in this same town. She has a stable clientele, who she has acquired slowly. She sells them miscellaneous items in addition to cutting their hair. This gives her additional income that she can use to support her children. She sells, on credit, perfume, clothes and shoes among other items that her customers need. They pay her three or four payments, one payment every fifteen days. This is her first loan with KIVA and her first loan with the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation. With this loan she will buy a beautician chair, a hair washing station and various merchandise that her customers have requested. With this loan she will have further opportunities to have a gain customer loyalty.

Juana de 29 años de edad en condición de mujer separada y madre de 2 hijos en las edades de 6 y 5 años, trabaja con mucho esmero para lograr sacar a sus pequeños adelante. Ella aprendió el oficio de peluquería hace 5 años y lo ejerció en su pueblo natal Chivolo, en el departamento del Magdalena; fecha en la cual se radicó en el municipio de Puerto Colombia, lugar ubicado a orillas del mar caribe y donde ejerce su actividad como estilista. Su meta mas adelante es organizar su propio salón de bellezas y una miscelánea en el mismo local, pues en la actualidad atiende a domicilio a una clientela fija, que ha ganado poco a poco y a quienes les ofrece mercancías variadas, como otro de las actividades a las que se dedica, para generar ingresos que beneficien el bienestar de sus hijos. Ella vende a crédito perfumes, ropa y calzado, entre otros artículos que le encargan sus clientes y estos le pagan en 3 o 4 partidas quincenales. En la actualidad está aplicando a un credikiva, primer crédito que hace a la Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, con el cual comprará una silla de peluquería, un lavacabezas y mercancia variada solicitada en su preventa, por los clientes, a los cuales aspiraq con su credikiva dar una respuesta oportuna y ganarse aun mas su fidelidad. .
