Mujeres Progresistas is a communal bank made up of 7 members who live in different places in the city of Cuenca. This city is bathed by 4 rivers and has different places to enjoy nature. Its city center is mixture of colonial and modern. It's people are kind and very hardworking, like our members. Despite adversities, they never stop smiling and thanking God for one more day of work to improve the stability of their families.

One of the members of this group is Ana. She is an enteprising woman who is on her third loan in the communal bank. She is married and 33 years old. In her marriage she has had 2 children, aged 16 and 14. They go to high school in the city. Her husband works outside the city because he has migrated to seek better opportunities to get his family ahead. The house they live in is their property, the fruit of their work as a couple.

Ana spends her time in her house, dedicated to her family. To contribute to the family finances, she raises chickens and guinea pigs. She also farms and sells her harvests in the city market.

She is going to invest the money in buying seeds, fertilizer and chickens in order to keep growing her business.

Her goal is to have a grocery store.

Mujeres Progresistas es un banco comunal que está conformado por 7 socias quienes viven en diferentes lugares de la ciudad de Cuenca, ciudad que se encuentra bañada por 4 ríos, tiene varios lugares para disfrutar de la naturaleza, su centro se mezcla entre lo colonial y lo moderno, su gente es amble y muy trabajadora al igual que nuestras socias que a pesar de las adversidades, ellas nunca dejan de sonreír y darle gracias a Dios por un día más de trabajo para mejorar la estabilidad de sus familias.

Una de las socias de este grupo es la Señora. Ana, es una mujer emprendedora que se encuentra en el tercer crédito que realiza en el banco comunal. Es casada y tiene 33 años, en su unión conyugal ha concebido 2 hijos de 16 y 14 años de edad que estudian en un colegio de la ciudad. Su esposo labora fuera de la ciudad ya que ha migrado en busca de mejores oportunidades para sacar adelante a su familia, la casa en la que vive es de su propiedad siendo el fruto del trabajo conyugal.

La Señora Ana pasa en casa dedicada a su familia, pero para aportar a la economía de su hogar se dedica a la cría de gallinas y cuyes, labora también en la agricultura y sus cosechas las vende en un mercado de la ciudad.

El dinero de su crédito lo va a invertir en la compra de semillas, abono y pollos para continuar creciendo en su negocio.

Su meta es tener una tienda de abarrotes.
