Marie-Claire and Bahougobi have two children, both in school and their dependents. Marie-Claire lives with her husband and children. The couple takes care of the various household expenses together.

For the past ten years, and in order to meet the family's various needs, Marie-Claire has been selling phone recharge cards and condiments in her neighborhood. Thanks to this activity, she is able to meet her own needs without much difficulty.

Marie-Claire buys her goods in one of the regions of Benin. In order to meet her customers' needs, and to increase her turnover and income, Marie-Claire is requesting a third loan from Alidé, together with the other members of the MINANKPON group.

This loan will allow them to boost their level of activity and to increase their customer base and income. Previous loans have been duly repaid.

Le groupe MINANKPON est composé de trois personnes qui résident dans un même quartier. C'est la troisième fois que ce groupe sollicite l'aide financier de ALIDé, afin d'élever le niveau de son activité. La représentante du groupe, du nom de Marie-Claire est celle qui a la main levée sur la photo. Marie-Claire est âgée de 32 ans et est mariée à un certain Bahougobi. Marie-Claire n’a pas fréquenté l’école. Le couple a deux enfants, tous scolarisés et à leur charge. Marie-Claire vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants. Le couple se partage les différentes charges de la maison. Pour contribuer aux différents besoins de la famille, Marie-Claire vend depuis dix ans, des cartes de recharges et des condiments dans son quartier. Cette activité lui permet de répondre sans grande difficulté à ses besoins. Marie-Claire s’approvisionne dans une région du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaires et son revenu, Marie-Claire sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe MINANKPON, un troisième crédit auprès de ALIDé. Ce prêt leur permettra de rehausser le niveau de leur activité et d’accroître leur clientèle et leur revenu. Les prêts antérieurs ont été bien remboursés.

About Alidé

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan
