Ofeliya usually buys lambs, raises and fattens them in 4-5 months and resells them for a more profitable price in the local livestock bazaar. Her monthly income is 170 AZN. People use meat in everyday national dishes, such as pilau and dolma, and always use yoghurt sauce. Mutton is considered as very healthy and is also present in everyday life. The wool is very useful for blankets and bed mattresses, made by local woman.
She has applied for 1000 AZN to make renovations of the herd and to improve conditions of keeping her sheep. This will be her second loan and she has a good client history.

This loan is designed for clients residing in settlements for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Bilasuvar, Azerbaijan. An internally displaced person (IDP) is someone who has been forced to flee his or her home due to armed conflict, violence, human rights violations, or natural or manmade disasters, but who, unlike a refugee, has not crossed an international border (source: UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs).
